Music History took a detour down Tobacco Road. In furtherance of it, TARTUNES exists as the single largest repertory and most definitive resource of North Carolina musicians and music on the planet.  Focusing on documenting the artists and the places that have for so long made North Carolina a bastion of musical genius, innovation and independence, development is aggressively ongoing to cover emerging artists as well.  The purpose here is to be all-inclusive, a failure to start.  Our hope and intent, then, is to foster a great community of sharing, developing and archiving an interest and appreciation for what North Carolina artists have given us for so very long...
